Beyond Walls helps adults discover inmate profiles and connect through approved prison communication systems. We provide profile information and safety guidance, but we do not provide direct inmate messaging.

Protection of children

Child Safety Standards

Beyond Walls Connect has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Users must not create, upload, submit, share, promote, or distribute content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes grooming, sextortion, trafficking, predatory behaviour, and sexual imagery involving anyone under 18.

Adults-only service

Beyond Walls Connect is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not accept profile photographs containing minors. We also do not accept or publish profiles for individuals whose verified conviction history includes sexual offences involving a minor, child abuse, child exploitation, grooming, trafficking of a minor, or other serious harm to a child.

Reporting a concern

Users can report a profile or safety concern using the in-app Report Profile feature or by emailing chelseadun@beyondwallsconnect.com. Reports involving suspected CSAE or CSAM are treated as urgent. We may immediately restrict access to reported content or profiles while reviewing a concern.

How we respond

When Beyond Walls Connect becomes aware of content that may involve CSAE or CSAM, we will take appropriate action in accordance with our published standards and applicable law. This includes:

Restricting access to the reported content or profile while it is reviewed.
Reviewing reports without unnecessarily copying or redistributing suspected illegal material.
Permanently removing confirmed prohibited content.
Suspending or blocking responsible accounts and preventing prohibited profiles from being republished.
Preserving appropriate non-content information needed for an official report.
Reporting confirmed CSAM or child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the appropriate national, regional, or law-enforcement authority.
Cooperating with lawful investigations and complying with applicable child-safety laws.

The designated child-safety contact for Beyond Walls Connect is chelseadun@beyondwallsconnect.com. This contact receives child-safety notifications and can respond to questions about our prevention, reporting, and enforcement procedures.

Protect your personal information

Do not share passwords, banking details, payment card information, government identification, or other sensitive personal information.

Use approved facility channels

Use only communication services and postal processes approved by the relevant correctional facility. Facility rules can change, so verify current requirements before corresponding.

Be cautious with money requests

Never send money because of pressure, threats, urgency, or promises. Independently verify requests and use only legitimate, facility-approved payment services.

Report concerning content

Report inaccurate profiles, suspected impersonation, harassment, threats, prohibited content, or other safety concerns to Beyond Walls for review.

Know the platform boundaries

Beyond Walls is not a correctional facility, government agency, prison communication provider, background-check service, or emergency service. We do not guarantee profile accuracy, correspondence, responses, or outcomes. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
